The Ultramarines and the Word Bearers respectively. I expected nothing less to whomever wrote the Battle of Calth. Why I love/hate Know No Fear Black Library Fiction. Oddly enough my copy of 'Know no Fear' has just turned up. The Battle for Calth is a huge event in the canon of the Horus Heresy – it's when the Word Bearers' corruption was laid bare on a Legion-wide scale, and it's also when the Ultramarines entered the conflict. From the word go, this book is non stop, fast paced action. But the pacing of the book doesn't seem to lend itself to any realistic time. It seems to take days, and I never ever got the impression that the battle for Calth was decided so quickly. And with this id prefer other candidates to come to the fore when deciding who the fans might want to write the final battle between horus and the emperor. Heretics and Imperial Faith followers will finally read this legendary Heresy account in the pages detailing the Battle of Calth. Besides the obvious id like to see steve parker for what he did with rynns world and from what im reading with path of the renegade . But since it was Dan Abnett, I did expect a momentus piece. Anyone else think the Battle For Calth book cover shown in the February aus white dwarf looks awesome? Over on the Games Workshop website someone thoroughly nice put up an extract of Dan Abnett's forth coming Kniw No Fear from the Horus Heresy series. Know No Fear deals with the Battle of Calth, the epic battle between the XIII and XVII legions.
